Prayer and Gift

*TOPIC: PRAYER AND THE GIFTS*
*TEXT: ACTS 13:1-2*
The objectives this evening's message is to let us appreciate the place of the gift of the Holy Spirit in maximizing seasons of fasting and prayer. We want to see the importance of the gifts of Holy Spirit in maximizing seasons of prayer and fasting.
*The communion of today is for the impartation and the reactivation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.*
In the scripture where we read, the church at Antioch was fasting and prayer and in the middle of that fasting and prayers a Spiritual gift broke out –the gift of prophesy. This gift gave direction on what should be done with two people (Paul and Barnabas). By this they were released into their destiny;  they  were moved from being just prophets and teachers to being Apostles (Ability to land in place with nothing and generate a move for God is accomplished through Apostleship grace). By the word that Holy Spirit spoke, Paul and Barnabas where moved into their apostleship assignments. So, spiritual gifts are very important in time of prayers and fasting.

*Three Gifts of the Spirit that have proven to be assets in the season of prayer and fasting?*
*The Revelation Gifts* (Through this gifts we know something that is not possible to be known by human faculty or human senses. We are supernaturally made to know something we do not know ordinarily.):

*1. The Word of Wisdom:* By this gift we know something about the future and what to do about it. By this gift we also know how to handle a particular problem in the present time. when people are fasting and this gift is at work, God is going to pass through this gifts to give strategies, instructions on what should be done on current challenges. After praying (in this season),  when you want to sleep anticipate on  God to give you a vision, because the word of wisdom can come through your visions and dreams. Your glory as a man is tied to your discovering what God wants you to do, until you discover the step to take you will not know glory (Proverbs 25:2). The gift of Word of Wisdom is a gift you need for yourself in this season:  You need it for yourself, for your family and even to confirm what God is telling you through others.

*2. The Gift of Word of Knowledge:* It is a gift by which God gives us secret information about what is going on, it helps you access secret information. Word of knowledge is not only about what is going on in the lives of others, it is also about knowing what is going on in your life.

*3. The Gift of Discernment:*  You can look at the heart of people and know the content of their spirits; you need this gift in the place of prayers.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
1. Lord, I am grateful for the word you have given to me today.

2. Lord, in this session of prayer and fasting let this three gifts work in me, work through me and work for me in Jesus name. Lord, bless me with this spiritual gift so that I make the best out of this fasting season.
