*TOPIC: TRUIMPHING BY TESTIMONIES AND THE POWER OF THE BLOOD*
*TEXT: REVELATION 12:7-12*

“And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony...” who is the one that they overcame? The devil- the Dragon (Revelation 12:7-12). Why is it important that you share your testimony? Let’s look at what happened in heaven; when the devil was cast out of heaven.

Satan was originally Lucifer, the chief arch angel. He became proud because of the position God gave him and he decided to make himself “God” by dethroning God; Imagine a created being wanting to overthrow his creator. Satan was blinded by his ambition, he was blinded by his pride. Well god being the God he is: The glorious, the mighty, the unchallengeable, the un-confrontable one, did not want to waste his energy on Satan. So, God sent Michael and the other angels to do the fighting against him. And Satan stupidly fought back, but glory be to God the Bible said, “there was found no place for Him”. If God is backing you Satan cannot find a place in your life.

The next exciting thing was that Satan was hauled down, “…and the great dragon was cast down”. It doesn’t matter how great the devil, the demons, principalities, the powers confronting you are they can be cast down. In spite of his capacity to deceive the world he was cast down. Don’t make the devil look bigger than He is, you see him around, throw him out. God has empowered us to throw out the devil.

But what is most exciting is that they overcame him not by muscle or swords but by the Blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. Your testimony can kick the devil out of your life. Your testimony can be past, present or future. If you testify about the past, you are talking about what God did. If you testify about the present, you are talking about what He is doing. And when you testify about the future, you are talking about what you are sure God is going to do.

“And they overcame BY THE BLOOD of the lamb” the Blood is available. The weapons used against the devil are still available today. The Blood is still available today, testimony is still available to today. It does matter where or how Satan is working, you can overcome by the Blood of the Lamb. The bible says if any man is born of God, he overcomes the world- I am born of God. couple your testimony with the redemption power that is in the Blood and the devil is beaten hands-down.

Now the there was a great shout in heaven when the devil was thrown down (Revelation 12:12). I am among those dwelling in heaven (Ephesians 2:6) and as far as that realm is concerned, Satan has lost the battle. Where there is a problem is for the inhabitants of the earth; those who refuse to set their minds on the things above; those that will not allow their to accept that they are no longer down here, that they have been raised in Christ and are seated in heavenly places; they are those that have a problem. The Bible says you have a reason to rejoice because you dwell in heaven.

Rejoice because you have triumphed by testimonies and the Power of the Blood of the Lamb.
Understand that the word of our testimony is not the long story we tell about what happened and what didn’t happen. The word of testimony our is our confession that is in sync with the Word of God. testimony is not about what you have done, it is the power and the integrity of God’s Word that proved to be true in your situation.
